I have spent the last two weeks having a fantastical two weeks vacation on Prince Edward Island. Here is a view of where we stayed
our view each day.
The weather the first full day there wasn’t the best for sun bathing but really how can one resist the beach on PEI
was for the most part beautiful and when we weren’t here on the beach i was at the cottage creating art,
picking seaglass when family came to visit
or eating some wonderful Gluten Free fish and chips downtown Charlottetown or out in Kensington having the most delicious meals.. Lobster stuff mushrooms.. need I say more??
So here is a quick run down of what I have been up to:
We went to see the play “Anne of Green Gables”. My first time and I will so go back again. i was so inspired by Anne that i created this canvas. it is my version of one of Dylan Reaveley’s amazing works
When it rained I did this:
i loved working on this one. i actually sewed the buttons on!! a bit of canvas left over from another project made the flowers. love it as much as i love each and every moment.
I started work on a project for an upcoming class at APOS! but am not quite ready for the sneak peak but stayed tuned!
In the evenings instead of playing on the internet, we didn’t have internet at the cottage, rustic huh!! I created this..it needs a bit more work but wasn’t quite sure yet.. will work on that..
And this. i absolutely am in love with this one!!!!
Oh and speaking of classes, on Tuesday night I spent the evening teaching a class as a guest instructor at The Scrapbook Studio. It was a great time and I loved that for the most part they were dirty girl newbies.. not anymore. I so hope they continue and become full fledged dirty girls. I am looking forward to coming back and teaching some mixed media to them in the fall!
The next five days were spent on the beach
Friday night we went into town and remember the beach bag I made with color wash, well someone wanted one too so we made a special one for her
Now I am home and getting back to the swing of things. i am working on my next class… we are making aprons with color wash and materials. i can’t wait!! i hope you can join us. give the store a call!
til next time…
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
