hello everyone! i can’t believe where this month has gone…
well today i am here to show you a project that i guess perhaps may look like a pretty simple one (and it is!) but a very layered one
now this paper they said could take a lot of medium and not soak through the other side. as an art journaler, well i need the proof so off i went
i dug out some of my decoArt media paints to create my rainbow of colour background
then by running some thicker foam through my big kick using Eileen Hull’s Heart and Soul flowers die i so happily ended up with a wonderful set of flower stamps!! love that one can do that with any die!
i then stamped using some white paint onto my Rendr paper pad
next was just adding random bits of colour onto my page. when doing so i used some water(okay lots of water) to spread the paint further.. remember i am testing this paper!!
then i dug out some positive quote stamps and archival ink
i was quite happy where this was going.. next it was taking a stencil and adding even more paint and some sprays
loved all the different layers i have been creating. wanted to give it a little more so added a layer of black
now it was just a matter of finishing it up. i had thought about using it for a background for a scrapbook page then decided that i liked it as an art journal page but then thought it would be perfect to cover a piece of mat board to make an Artist Trading Block or cut it up totally and use it to make some flowers….. decisions…
so for now i have decided to leave it as is with bits of doodling!!!
thanks so much for dropping by today!!!
