art journalling with Rendr and Eileen Hull

hello everyone! i can’t believe where this month has gone…

This month the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team will be working with Crescent Art Products along with Eileen’s new Sizzix collection Paper Flower Party!
The Inspiration Team has been focused on two Crescent Art Products, RENDR paper and Photo Mat Art Board.
RENDR Paper is 100% no-show through.  This means you can ink, stamp, spray, paint and color to your heart’s content with absolutely no bleed through.
Photo Mat Art Board is another fantastic Crescent product being showcased this month.  Photo Mat Art Boards make it easy to create professional quality photo projects with your own artistic style.

well today i am here to show you a project that i guess perhaps may look like a pretty simple one (and it is!) but a very layered one

now this paper they said could take a lot of medium and not soak through the other side. as an art journaler, well i need the proof so off i went

i dug out some of my decoArt media paints to create my rainbow of colour background

RENDR paperthen by running some thicker foam through my big kick using Eileen  Hull’s Heart and Soul flowers die i so happily ended up with a wonderful set of flower stamps!! love that one can do that with any die!

heart and soul stamps

i then stamped using some white paint onto my Rendr paper pad

painted flowernext was just adding random bits of colour onto my page. when doing so i used some water(okay lots of water) to spread the paint further.. remember i am testing this paper!!

heart and soul paintedthen i dug out some positive quote stamps and archival ink

stamped rendri was quite happy where this was going.. next it was taking a stencil and adding even more paint and some sprays

decoart and TCWloved all the different layers i have been creating. wanted to give it a little more so added a layer of black

rendr and eileen hullnow it was just a matter of finishing it up. i had thought about using it for a background for a scrapbook page then decided that i liked it as an art journal page but then thought it would be perfect to cover a piece of mat board to make an Artist Trading Block or cut it up totally and use it to make some flowers….. decisions…

so for now i have decided to leave it as is with bits of doodling!!!

eileen hull and rendrethanks so much for dropping by today!!!

A great experiment that turned out beautifully Diana! I love that you made stamps from the dies and your resulting page/project is fabulous. Anne xx
