Art with a Heart – projects to love

hello everyone!! i am here today to share with you my creation of the month for Art with a Heart Challenge – Projects to Love

to start off i covered  two pieces of mat board using some Little Yellow Bicycle paper i had in my stash. i then cut these two pieces  using Eileen Hull‘s 3D Cube die.  i assembled it using score tape..it is the best!!

i then cut out four 2 1/2 inch squares and 2 inches squares from the same line of paper. then it was time to create the flowers to attach to the side panels. i used Eileens  Trinity Flower die and once again cut using the same paper. i also added a bit of tulle between a couple of layers

now for the top i wanted it to be special…i start out creating what i thought would be a perfect topper.. a clam shell which i created using the cookie box die!!  i first tried cutting it out of M-D Hobby and Craft Metal Roll (aluminum) which i ran through my vagabond using a waves texture fade,  and layered paints and sprays and gesso on but it just didn’t come out the colour i wanted for the top. now if you haven’t worked with this stuff you REALLY need to. it is so pliable yet solid..if that makes sense!!

.. so i recut using mat board / texture pad and then was able to shape it into a ‘clam shell’. i then cut out a punch of circles and made the flower to which i added my ‘pearl’. I liked the natural colour of my shell better on the top of the ATB

now I still wanted to use the original clam so I painted it a black brown and just popped some candies in it

and speaking of candies…. take a boo inside this ‘sweet’ ATB

this was such a ‘sweet’ project to do.
