ATC – distressed

this post is all about some ATC’s i am in the process of making for the ladies in my art journalling class. the subject for this months challenge is distress and holy is the background ever distressed
i used 3 different distress inks on the backgrounds, spraying with water and drying between each layer. i started with antique linen followed by tea dye and ending with frayed burlap.
so this is what the background looked like when completed and attached to a plain black background IMG_7148

next i dug out my dymo tape and wendy vecchi stamps and added the title of the act

next was the clearly for art in black… this is such a fun material to work with.. and created my butterflies which i stamped with gold archival ink. if you want to see how i made the butterflies do feel free to drop over HERE but keep in mind i am VERY INEXPERIENCED but i do try!!

next i hot glued a flower onto a tim’s memo pin and attached a couple of ‘leaves’ which were basically flower pedals i coloured with my distress markersIMG_7151

then i added some ribbon type fabric onto the bottom of my act
