Eileen Hull / DCWV – Holiday project

hello everyone!!! hasn’t this been a fun and festive month with the Eileen Hull Inspiration team creating pieces using the DCWV paper line!! I have seen so many projects that I want to recreate.. so many talented folks. I hope you have checked it out!!
(https://1 NULL.bp NULL.blogspot NULL.jpg)
for my project this month decided to create a piece to display on my desk at work, that is if it makes it into the office and off my window sill in my studio!
so i started out by cutting out 5 ATB’s using matboard (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp I love using this stuff as it makes for a solid base when creating a 3D project.
next I started cutting out  using the DCWV Cranberry Christmas (http://www NULL.michaels NULL.html#q=cranberry+christmas&start=1)paper pack squares in various sizes. I absolutely love the richness of this paper line and the foil bits oh my!!
counting-up-the-squaresthen the planning began and the first of three romance flowers were created. I glued the squares together for each pedal on all three sets in order to be sure there was colour from all sides!
romance-flower eilieens-romance-flowerand it was time to figure out what I wanted these blocks to say and in what order… so a bit of planning as I was laying them out….
and now I think I have it… except for a few changes…
atb-planningand now here you have the completed set (and look no ink!!)

oh and I was just thinking the “LOVE” side could be displayed during February for Valentines day…yes.. these blocks will get lots of use in my home
hope you have been following along and checking out all the projects on this fun blog hop we have had with DCWV this month!
oh and that you are creating!!

Eileen Hull Fall ATB

hello everyone!! i am loving the change in weather… fall is my favourite season i must admit..though i do enjoy the sun and pool of summer…
but back to today. i am here to show you my take on Eileen’s Art with Heart challenge

art-with-heart-challenge-september-2015-sizzix-prize-packi was visiting my LSS and the owner was showing me the new line of Bobunny papers she just received from them as samples and i was oohing and aahing over them and she gave me a couple of sheets to play with….
Bobunny enchanted forest

and oh how i played. you see i am not a fussy cutter at all… i prefer using sizzix dies to scissors!! but i just couldn’t resist this paper

here I cut out a lot of the sunflowers, sprayed with water and a bit of gold, crumbled and let dry.. loved these

EH bobunny flowers
and then like most projects I get lost in the doing but basically this paper was made perfectly to go with Eileen’s ATB’s!!

Bobunny enchanted forest
so I just started cutting and layering pieces of the BoBunny papers onto my ATB’s and my cookie box (http://www NULL.sizzix here is what I ended up creating!!

Stampotique ATB wedding cake!

hello everyone!!

i am here quickly to show you another way to create using an Eileen Hull ATB (Artist Trading Block (http://www NULL.sizzix

it all started when i received the silver super fine embossing powder and the Botanical Sketch stamp set awhile ago and was playing around with them. they were such a super elegant combination i just knew they would make the perfect design for an ATB Stampotique wedding cake!!

pretty simple stuff… i started off by stamping then sprinkled on some embossing powder heat set and go!!

stampotique wedding cake

for the top layer and the bottom of the bottom layer i used Eileens sunburst (http://www NULL.sizzix embossing folder and some metal.. i absolutely LOVE this effect!!

and here are a few close ups of the bride and groom as well as the cake!
Daniel Torrento Connie
Daniel Torrente Checkersi stamped them on shrink film, coloured them and then shrunk them!! are they not the cutest ever!!

a really quick and easy ATB project to create and share…would be cute and easily converted into a ‘money tree’ just by using Eileen’s bank slot in one of the panels!!

hope you have been creating!!
