okay..can you believe it is already the end of September!!! seriously where has this year gone!!!
i am here today to show you my take on Tim’s Twelve Tags for September (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-september/).
as always i really love doing these tags and each time i truly do learn something new… the biggest new for me today was seriously trying to wrap the wire around those brads!! how does he make it look so easy!! i probably spent more time on that then anything..okay maybe not but still it was not a simply just wrap around the brad!! LOL
breaking out those alcohol inks was awesome…once again i forget how much fun after they’ve been packed away for a while.
so that is it for me today. i hope you have taken the time to play along with the tag of the month!!!
i have to admit…. when i first started working on my tag for Tim’s August challenge (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-august/)i did not like where it was going….i even left it on my desk and moved on to other projects…it just looking at me waiting to be finished…. it looked nothing like tim’s and i was already to trash it….but i waited
and i am so glad i did.
one of my favourite things about creating is the story that enfolds from the piece and it finally hit me what i was going to do with this one. i created it with the thoughts of me and my siblings growing up…we had some rough times, still do, but we had lots of love for one another.
loved ever single step in this process and as for techniques, do jump on over to Tim’s (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-august/) site to see what he did and his tag!
well today is one of those days that i dream about when i am at work.
it was a perfect kind of day.. the sun shone, the water was perfectly cool, refreshments were refreshing and i was able to create in the sun… a perfect kind of day to make my rendition of Tims July tag (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-july/)
this month i was able to play a bit more with the micro-glaze. yes it is as cool as you think it is!!! i followed along the techniques that Tim has shown and this is what i came up withlove creating in nature…makes me a very happy girl! hope you have played along this month too!
okay.. now this was a fun one!!! not that they all aren’t really!!
so this was my second time playing with the custom blend ink pads!! I am totally addicted to these as I am sure anyone else who has tried them are !!
I have a few of them in stock… (like 12!) so have been able to play and make a few sets. my two favorite are my original one I made using blues and this one which was made in my last class. And well because I love them so much I made a green one too!!
but really I am not here today to talk about them but to share with you my June Tag I created following Tim’s tutorial here (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-june/)!!
one of my favourite releases ever…the custom pads…i chose to use clear embossing paste to highlight my words & butterfly
loved creating this months tag..it is a special one that will be treasured for years i am sure!!
i know… a slight variation of his but I am quite happy with it!!
have you created yours yet!!!!
i did it again!! i know it is only the 4th month of the year but i have actually made a point of being sure to do each one of Tim’s (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2015-april/)challenges each month and am aiming to do it this time the whole year!!
i absolutely was a fish out of water for this technique. i have all the markers, all of them except Aprils, but i never seem to use them… i really am not sure what i need to do with them. so when this months tag challenge involved them i loved the step outs!!
for my tag i changed it up a bit.. i didn’t have the exact products used by Tim but loved how he coloured the flowers…use of the spritzer, stitching of the tag.. everything
i didn’t have the dies he used but have the two Christmas sets so used the word BELIEVE and then cut out a few of the other words to make up the word ALWAYS
as always i love putting thought/feeling into my projects so this one i couldn’t help but think of a friend of mine who is running her first half in Vancouver.. away from all her running peeps (except two!) so wanted to create a piece for her.
i hope you all have taken the time to create along with Tim this month. i really enjoyed and love this tag… one technique i will for sure be revisiting!!!
