This month we were given parts to make a small jewellery box. Now i know a jewelery box is a cool thing to own and a scrappy one well, bonus. But for me i really wanted it to go along with my theme from last month. Remember when i took the planter and made it into a wheel barrel!! Well this month i chose to alter my jewellery box and make it a lounge chair for my girl but it is not only a lounge chair but a cooler to hold her wine!!!
so off i went. i stamped my box with polka dots and tried some distress stain but it just wasn’t cutting it for me. so then i tried some Claudine Hellmuth paints mixed with a bit of Maya Road mist and then watered it down a bit and ta da!! but wait it wasn’t quite what i was looking for. so then i added a bit of plain white paint and there that is exactly what i was looking for.
now for the back, cause really a jewellery box doesn’t have a back i found a little canvas and decided to alter it to match my chair base. i totally love how it turned out.
and what is a girl suppose to do when lounging around after a hard morning of gardening well relaxing with a magazine(did you see which magazine she is reading!) and a glass of wine!!
so i added my cooler to my wheel barrel and can’t wait til the next piece from ezee pzee!
