so this week i actually managed to get my tag done on day 1!!!! horray!!! I love this technique. a huge thanks to Jennie and to Kaz for bringing us this wonderful challenge. Go check out their wonderful creations.
and speaking of creations let us know forget our hostess Linda who is the keeper of Grunge Mondays.
So what wonderful Tim technique are we doing this week you as? well none other than shabby chic.
So for my tag i started out by painting the entire tag with my black dabber. i stamped the lovely lady from Haberdashery set using embossing ink followed by clear embossing powder. Once heated i used sunshine yellow, aqua and lettuce paint dabbers. Once dried i used my mini mister and a paper towel and wiped the paint off the stamp. Now I found it too ‘bright’ so then i used my new Distress Stain in Walnut Stain and wiped it over the whole tag. once dry i stamp ‘ART’ from amazing talented Wendy Vecchi stamp set Just Word Art and then stamp with black Archival Ink the saying from Tim’s Odds & Ends stamp set. cut it all out and glued it on my tag. used a little bit of Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls mist and a few rub ons.
thanks ladies and of course Tim for the wonderful challenge. i absolutely love the shadowy antiquey (is that even a word!!) way this turned out. i can’t wait to try this on a bigger scale!!!!
til next time…
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!

Really gorgeous and arty. Fantastic tag!
Love your tag. the technique turned out perfect. I love the way the colors blended.
Fabulous background – the dress form looks magical with all those different shades behind it.
Absolutely gorgeous background color mix! And what an interesting design. I like the idea of superimposing rub-ons on the stamped image. beautiful!
great tag, the background is fab, very shabby chic, but then that’s the point
thanks for sharing
