Holiday Jumpstart with Eileen Hull

hello everyone!!!

this month Eileen Hull Inspiration team has been challenged to  kickstart the holiday season; that could be Autumn, Halloween, Christmas, whatever tickles your fancy!!

if you know me I am not a Halloween girl but I have to say I am so getting to be. I love the challenge of doing something that I wouldn’t normally do, working with a palette of colours I wouldn’t normally use…challenging ourselves sometimes brings surprising results!

so for this weeks project I chose to use the flower vase and simply cover it with paper.. pretty easy and pain free stuff!

but okay then what do i do with it….. and as it was sitting on my desk, knocked over by one of my lovely furry friends it hit me!!! this would make a perfect lamp shade!

and here is what i created!

and here is the still picture! isn’t it fun using a die for something other than what it was meant to be used for!!

eileen-hull-vasei hope you have taken a few minutes to pop on over to Eileen’s site to see what the rest of the inspiration team has brought you this month! lots of holiday projects to be seen!

till next time.. happy crafting!

I was just like you…I didn’t do Halloween art…it was macabre to me, and Halloween is all about the candy…right??? Then I started doing it about 4 years ago, and I loved where it made me go. It was just fun to be in pretend land…you know?!!! I’m so glad you are embracing it too, because the lamp shade ROCKS!!! I love the candy bowl and the characters surrounding it, saying “hey you better not eat that or I’ll get you and you will have to go for another run!” Good diet ploy too! Fun post my friend!
