hello everyone!
i am back again to share with you another project i created for this months’ Mixed Media Monthly Challenge
Once again our October Sponsor is Rubber Dance Stamps from Norway!
for my project i chose to do another 6×6 tile using the same colour theme as last months project but with a splash of orange (egyptian gold actually)
so here is what i did. i stared out using a stencil and some light&fluffy modelling paste. i did the 6×6, leaving the centre of my square out
once that layer was dry i then lined the stencil up after placing a piece of chipboard in the centre of my square and then added some modelling paste to my chipboard.
once everything was dry i started adding some sprays.
for the centre piece i added a splash of white spray and let it leak through the crevices to lighten up the centre of my piece
now here are my two pieces
and as you can see they one up perfectly and i love the two different colours
next it was time to work on my centrepiece… now for this piece remember we are doing a product partnership with Rubber Dance Stamps an i am using the funny fungi. i stamp it onto red cardstock with black archival ink and then quickly heat embossed it with clear powder. i then filled all the dots with glossy accents and went back to the white and using a pin i picked at it in order to try to give it some texture
then it was time for the finishing touches…. the spray of gold and for the centre of my flower i chose to put in a tiger eye gemstone
here you have it my finished piece
thanks for stopping. don’t forget to upload your creation HERE for your chance to win this months prize, a $30 gift certificate to the Rubber Dance online store!!!
don’t forget you must include the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge #41 imagine to qualify!!
until next time my friends
