Sizzix Paper Leather case for Eileen Hull

hello everyone!! I am beyond excited to share this month project with you all.

Eileen challenged us,  her design team,  to showcase Sizzix Paper Leather Sheets and Inksheets which come in White, Black, Red,  Silver, Gold and Green .  (To use the Inksheets you need an Inksheets Transfer Pad. There is also a starter kit available HERE.  )step one of my  project I started out with an 8×10 sheet of white to which I added three of Dina’s newest paint colours.  I just randomly applied them on the front and once dry on the back using a paint brush

step two was choosing which side I wanted to use and applying some marks using some black gesso.

step three I laid  the sheet of paper on the mini album die and being careful to stay just inside the cut line I ran it through my die cutting machine

step four I placed the letters on what was going to be the back of my wallet on top of some ink sheets and using the special platform ran it through my machine

step five was where I realized that I grabbed the WRONG platform and ended up diecutting my piece instead of embossing the letters on my piece!! as you can see the letters went through the leather paper

step six & seven were realizing how to fix this ‘opps’ (outstanding opportunity presenting suddenly .. right Dina!) and I quickly came to the conclusion that by using Tim’s frosted film on the inside and glue n seal on the outside it made for the perfect save!(you can really only tell it’s there because of the shimmer and i am okay with that !!

step 8 was die cutting & embossing/inking the ‘latch’. the pattern on the starburst embossing folder is absolutely PERFECT for this flower!!!! LOVE it!

then it was time for a bit of sewing. i sewed the flowered ‘latch’ as well as all around my wallet before sewing it all together

i couldn’t  not add a bit more of the ink sheet to the front of my wallet

and here you have a perfectly usable wallet to take out and about for those quick trips!
