TTT – July 2016

hello everyone!!

i am here today to  share my take on Tim’s Twelve Tags – Remix 2016. for all the step outs and the hows to’s drop on over to his site and following along!!

I always forget how much fun the distress markers can be. I have them and love looking at the them and moving them around my desk but since I am not someone who just colours, I never use them….  I am so going to stop doing that!

so for my tag, I decided to use the Nautical Blueprint stamp set and couldn’t decide which stamp to use so end up creating two tags

 I love how because I used the micro glaze that when it came time to add my spritz of black using this tool as well as my background blues, it doesn’t touch my shells!! I also love how the distress markers, when blended using the water brush, actually make me think the colouring of this shell is real!

and the star dollar, which up until this year I so wanted to find one, until I realized that they were live creatures..now I just want to see one as it buries itself in the sand!

and as i was adding bits to my tag one of tim’s foliage flowers  fell onto the floor and I thought. hmmm I wonder.. so out came my pliers and I have tried shaping it like the inside of my sand dollar.. kind of cool I think!!

exploring the beach and discovering the ocean are two of my favourite things to do in the summer so this months techniques and remixes fit perfectly! totally brought me joy creating these two tags this month! thanks Tim!
