hello everyone
i am back today to share my latest project. You see i am still on a mission to use my stash.. okay, really my mission was to find something i just knew i had in my stash and what happens while i am looking is i end up finding something i totally forgot about and well, it just goes from there…
this project started with me looking for a set of mini lights for a Christmas project i am working on… and now how did i get from Chrismas lights to this….. i found the little lantern and then a folder of precoloured paper in the ’fall’ sleeve of my desk drawer… of which i totally forgot i had a sleeve in there… oh my mind some days right…
i have quite a few of these in my stash. i am sure you will see some more pop up on projects over the next years!
it is so much fun, and so much quicker, when one has a bunch of background papers made right… and then one just needs to dig out those fabulous dies and start cutting.. i have used every leaf thinlit, 3D embossing folder i had to create this piece
the scarecrow stamp is everything right!! i love him!
here are my step out(ishes)
- using distress inks/oxide sprays colour a few sheets of mixed media heavystock paper and some mummy cloth/string
- using distress inks/oxide pads add colours to your preembossed background papers (this is an oldie but goodie from a paperstash of many moons ago)
- cut out from black card 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches with the deckle trimmer
- cut out pattern paper 8 1/4 x 8 1/4 inches
- cut out preembossed cardstock 8 x 8
- diecut quote of choice
- die cut out all your leaves
- spritz leaves with mica spray or add dimension using ink blending tool and distress ink/oxide ink
- assemble
- add final metal touches
okay.. probably didn’t need the 10 steps for this one but it is fun to look back someday to see / remember what i did.
so much love for this. my quote was one i saved from a project that Anna-karin made a few years back
until next time my friends
