art journal – simple words

it is no secret that i love the magazine Art Journaling by Somerset Studio. i look forward to every issue that they put out.. and yes i buy some of their other magazines too but this is my favorite.

so as i was flipping through the summer 2012 issue… and believe me i flip through it a lot…. i came across and article by Nichole Rae Snyder titled ‘words i carry with me’. i loved her little ring bound journals (now all her pure white space scared me so i had to add in a bit of ‘dirt’) but especially loved her words. They seem like words that were and are suitable for just about anyone. so with her permission i took her little journal and made it into my very own art journal page.

i love everything about this page from the not so whiteness of the white space, the use of words and letters that i have had for some time, the splotches of glimmer glam, the tape.. well okay everything!
