I kind of put my own spin on this my final official posting with Art Anthology..
now with that said, I will be still be sharing more of my love of the wonderful product and yes I will miss the ‘Dream Team’ but my life is so busy right now that I find it hard to keep up and I don’t like to disappoint so I have stepped away for a while
okay with all that said here is my take on this months challenge!
the invention i am most thankful for is two really.. the invention of the world wide web and the camera… because if neither of these existed then i would not have been able to obtain this picture of FIVE generations taken at my cousin Jesse’s wedding in beautiful British Columbia
here are some step outs
i placed the photo where i wanted and then applied matte medium to the photo as well as the cheese cloth that i laid around the photo. i then added flowers and then a spray of colorations
next i covered everything with gesso followed by layers of black, browns and blue colorations until i was satisfied with the colours. i heat set through out the whole process because i wanted them to dry true prior to mixing too much with the gesso
i then added more gesso in places i figured i wanted to lighten, for instance around the picture, prior to adding some white spray to finish that area.
once everything was good and dry i added some Diamond coloration to complete my canvas.this piece has been sent off to live with my cousin. i hope she likes it!!
thanks for stopping by.
