She – Love

I am in love! i am not quite sure why but every single time i look at her i smile! I am so in love with my She Art Workshop i can hardly wait to get home to apply a new coat to my canvas to see what it turns into next.

So i am going to show you what she looked like each day but first wanted to show you here on the left the flower in her hair.

It is an Ezee Pzee flower!!! isn’t it gorgeous. i put a dab of glimmerglaze on my mat and mixed it with a bit of paint, let it dry and then applied a embellie in the center! What a perfect piece for my She’s hair!!

okay let’s back up a bit. What i started with and then ended with look nothing the same. i first started by layer paper, including pages from an old dictionary, scraps of paper from my pile, tissue paper, music sheets and a tag. i mod podge them all down on day one and then left it to dry

day 2 was a lot of fun. that is when i started layer paints and gesso and inks and more paper and more paint and gesso and well you get the picture. once it was all glued i laid the canvas aside and started working on She. it was time to cut out the body and head and arms and legs! i was so very nervous!! then i took out my heat gun and dried the canvas cause well i just couldn’t wait any longer. i laid out my pieces and did a bit of shading. one of the scariest parts for me was the hair. i just couldn’t imagine doing the hair!! so i left it for day 3!

Day 3 was an amazing and yes i have to say an emotional one for me. i feel in love with my She! it sounds corny i suppose to most but it was like giving birth to a whole new part of me. there isn’t anything totally special about her… she isn’t inked in gold and silver or have fancy papers or dodads or glue but to me she is spectacular and the little piece of WONDERFUL that i have had hidden.
