Hello everyone!!
today I am here to show you a project I created for Eileen Hull Inspiration team using the heart and soul die and spring leaves die but it is not your typical project…
I had taken a powertex class from the wonderful Cheryl Bogliali in 2016 at a local retreat and fell in love with the product but alas didn’t really do much with it again until I sat down with my sister and created our figurines ….. but the itch to create was still quite strong. so when Eileen challenged her inspiration team this month to create using her dies in a different way …. well out came my powertex and Kunin felt and well here is what I did
I started off by die cutting the flower and leaves out of Kunin felt. I opted to use the darker colours as I wasn’t sure how this project would turn out. I then soaked them in powertex making sure the felt was completely saturated
I then attached it to a bottle using some cotton and let it set for a very long time to dry……. once it was completely dry I set out to add a bit of shimmer, a few stones and a dragonfly brad and this is what I came up with
a simple little wine cuff to attach to a bottle to add that little extra touch to a gift!
how do you use your Eileen Hull dies in a different way!!! do share with us and let us know!
Diana

Diana, I love Powertex and don’t use it often enough….. I would never have thought to use it this way! What a wonderfully inspiring project! Anne x
[…] Diana Hetherington has an unexpected textile project that is really something! This Heart and Soul Flower wine cuff is so cool and clever. I never would have thought this creation was made of felt but it IS! […]
