hello everyone!
I am back again this week to share with you my third week of art journal pages…. I can’t believe it is the third week of September already!!!
I started this one by using a piece of burlap from my Dina Wakley journal that I had cut out and started to paint.. it made a perfect backdrop for a piece of the newest paper stash Halloween from Tim Holtz. I also dug out an old die from my stash and die cut some of my alcohol inked scraps for this page
because I was on an alcohol ink search I decided to break out some of the newer ones I have and had that question. what if I add some to a pregessoed page.. what would happen.. I tried and it was a definite experimental background page created. made me think about all the things we wouldn’t have if someone hadn’t of asked and tried the quest of what if…
for this page it was a piece of scrapped background paper that I had used to clean up my brush and then I decided, well what happens if I used some translucent paste and then sprinkled with beeswax powder and heat set…
I simply was cleaning up and sorting stamps and these two just happen to be a couple of my favourite so I wanted to add them to my month long journey of creating different styles of pages
this page was a page from an old journal from 2012 that I was tearing apart. I loved the idea of this section of the page so I just added to it to bring it into the 2020 collection!
this page as well is from that old journal. I just added some newer bits to it
and finally the last page for this weeks update. I like to take a class at least once a month with one for the fabulous on line teachers. Saturday was a class with Dina on Facebook about layering and it as always was a class worth taking… can you believe there are at least 25 layers in this page below!!
that is it for this weeks update! I sure hope you are playing along in. your craft room… taking the time to create just to get into the habit of creating every single day… maybe not a finished piece but at least just playing
