so i spent last night and this morning just playing.. nothing in mind except using up some stuff on my desk. i was reminded again this week of how the sun and warm, hence laying out on the deck, seems to take over this time of year. as much as i love my studio and the great joy it gives to me, the deck seems to win out each and every time.
i started out with covering my journal page with bits and pieces of paper, maps, embossed tags etc that were hanging around my desk. i then put a couple of squirts of distress paint on my craft mat and using bubble wrap covered my papers to give it a more unified look.
my next step was to dig out some of those foam stamps that i have collected and forgot about and i stamped flowers on my page with once again distress paint
to clean my stamps i just sprayed them with water and stamped them off in the background… waste not want not they say!
once the distress paints were dry i took out the matching acrylic stamps and my trusty archival ink and i then stamped the flowers on top of the complimentary backgrounds
then i sort of kind of lost myself in the whole making of a girl. i only knew i wanted to use washi tape on her. you see i may or may not have a bit of an addiction to collecting said tapes and hoarding them… i thought since i have now collected oh i don’t know about 90 different rolls it is definitely time to start using them for different projects.
so i completely dressed my girl in different washi tapes, added some birds and accents with my distress paints and a bit of accenting with my faber castell markers; added a suzi kitty stamp and ta da!! a finished page for my journal.
thanks for stopping by on this rainy weekend. i wonder what i can play with next.
