i sometimes feel i neglect my craft room. i get caught up in the day to day things and get lost in things that are not nearly as important to me as just being.. taking the time to get lost in my own space…whether that is in the craft room creating or organizing. i figured it was time
so i started off my page using Ranger’s archival ink and the four Unity stamps designed by Liz Hicks which i had won on her site.. HURRAY!!!
next i mixed some grounds and distress ink and pressed it through my current favourite stencil by Prima…. while that was drying i took my acrylic silver paint dabber and painted my grungepaper wings from the tattered wing sizzix die i love how it automatically ‘bubbles’ then it was time to get out my melting pot. i have had it forever and have so wanted to play with it so when Ranger started their Melt Art Mania i thought this is the perfect timei added some colour.. love it!!
tres cool no???? so my first pour.. well let’s just say it isn’t good to set your wax pot ONTO your texture folder! second attempt.. much betterhow did i get that sparkle you ask. well simple. i added some dry glitter clear rock candy to my wet distress paint!!
and then just a bit more and i was finished!and there you have it. some quality time for me in my craft room… much needed. i am leaving this page somewhat clean which really isn’t like me but hey i kind of like it!
off to the craft room i go. i am seriously considering moving my craft room around so i can watch the going on’s in the front yard. i can’t believe a Robin is building right outside my window!! special special meaning for me!
