okay.. so i am addicted.. i knew i would be and am going to enjoy making them until i run out of ‘stuff’.
i have feelers out to see if anyone is willing to share some of theirs with me… here is hoping!!!
i am linking this one up to Snazzy who are having a ‘be inspired by Anna Dawbrowska challenge’. this piece is my second one totally inspired by the great Finnabair. someday i do hope to have the opportunity to take a class with her whether it is in person on on line. she is so very very talented.
so i started with a 12×12 canvas and covered it with music note paper, tissue paper, paint and paper. i added some chicken wire (thanks for the suggestion Vicki in a round a bout way!) i also added as you can see a picture of my son and his girlie but later decided it wasn’t big enough for this piece so changed it for one on my desk that was.
i then covered the whole thing with gesso followed by bits and bobs from the junk bag and trinket drawer. this makes the perfect submission into the challenge Mou is having over at design memory craft
then it was time to cover everything with gesso. i think going forward i will do this bit by bit instead of in all one sweep. sometimes i find it hard to get full coverage.
then it was time to spray… oh how i loved how this turned out. the aged look of the sprays … be still my heart. i am missing one piece which i wanted to add but couldn’t find and i meant to put a ‘title’ on it in the upper right hand corner but just couldn’t find the exact thing i wanted. so maybe sometime i will add to this. but in the meantime i consider this a finished piece.i am going to start working on another this week for a very special person. i hope they will like it! thanks for stopping by.

Wow… this is so cool! Love the highlighted area around the photo, and your bits and bobs look just fantastic under the Finnabair transformation techniques!!

Sorry for my delayed comment, i’m away at the moment.
WOW, your piece is stunning, I adore the colours and composition, my fav entry I think.
Thank you for taking part in the snazzy challenge.
Oh my, what an amazing transformation from all the ‘bits and bobs’ to the finished piece xx
This is fabulous!!!!!!!!! What kind of spray did you use? Thanks!!
What a great project, really lovely highlighting around the photo. It;s amazing how the gesso and spraying brings together such an amazingly diverse selection of embellishments. Elaine
