hello everyone!
this months Art with Heart for Eileen Hull is all about clean and simple!!! so i am here today to show you a simple 10 minute project you can make using Eileen’s Recipe card Box and Recipe Card dies.
now mind you this was a bit of a challenge for me.. the combination of clean, simple and under 10 minutes (ish!) but it was so much fun to do!! here it goes!!
so i started out by cutting my recipe box out of the Paper House Sapphire collection
but for the recipe card i cut my paper large enough so i could fold it in half and just by placing a bit away from the edge of the steel rule i was able to make a little book!! now for my recipe card holder i used the decorative frame movers and shapers die and cut a front section out of my box
i then placed a rub on on a piece of acetate
and then quickly assembled my recipe box using wonder tape…as you can see there is a bit of distress glitter in the window of my box. that was simple created using foam tape and an acetate backing
for the inside of my card i placed another rube on as well as i created a little pocket to hold a gift card or two
so here you have it.. a quick and easy gift card holder to make either when you are on your way out the door as a last minute card or in an assembly line to perhaps hold candy’s for a little give-a-way at a meeting.. so many possibilities!! i decided to show you a quick little video i made that demonstrates just how simple, easy and fast it is to create a project like this on your own using Eileens dies!
here is the holder from the video
and the cards i made after to put inside
i hope you take the time to play along this month and do check out the wonderful projects created by the other design team members
