hello everyone!! i am here today to share with you a project i created for Art with Heart challeng using one of Eileen Hull’s newest releases, the sewing box…
now who out there doesn’t recall either your mom or Nanny or auntie or anyone for that matter having one of these in their house!
so let’s get started on the creation. the first thing i did was use some ground expresso distress ink and stamped the inside of all pieces of the baskets, both bottoms and sides. i glued my boxes together in the corners and then wrapped the outside of the trays with tissue tape and some pieces from a paper stash
i had inked all edges first before applying to the outsides of the trays
for the levers and the feet i used a mixture of distress stain and once dry applied some ground expressothen it was just a matter of putting it all together. i chose to use brads to put mine together and for the top i added a little embellishment and here you have it!!
hope you all have played or plan on playing along with the Art with Heart challenge and check out the rest of the teams projects! i will be back again next week with another project using the embroidery hoop!!!
