a festive gift holder

hello everyone!! today I am here to share with you a fun little project I created for the Emerald Creek Dares challenge!

ECC Blog Header

this week we are all about sharing our festive projects. for me there isn’t much more festive than the shimmer and glimmer of the season.

so i started off cutting out Eileen Hull’s recipe card box from mat board. i then covered it with Finnabair white sand texture paste and then immediately covered it with a coating of distress glitter dust and some of Emerald Creeks burnt copper leaves embossing powder

magical mixturethen i set it aside to dry.  once it was completely dry i heat set it to activate the embossing powder. totally in love !!!

next i needed to decide what i was going to put on the front of the card so into my stash i go and out comes the trophy antlers to which i added some of the vintage platinum glitter dust, popped it inside a wreath to which i added these adorable Emerald Creek pinecones using some gold floss and a red bow for a splash of colour.

totally in love with how i transformed Eileen’s die into a sparkling package to house some special gifts!!!

Oh my gosh, I’m so excited! I want this sooo bad. Now I have to get my hands on that die before Christmas. Lots of stocking stuffer and tree card ideas came from this. (My family places the cards in the trees until Christmas and then open them all at once)
