you are loved….
hello everyone!!
today I am here to share with you a little project I created just for the sake of creating… and happen to be right on par with the CC3C challenge using Tim’s book; page 45 to be exact!!!
I had sent a message to my design team partners and asked them how they go about creating.. what is their process.. what do they do to get inspired…do you create for someone specific or a specific project or do you just create.
well I took all their answers in and decided that for this day I was just going to create.. holy though easier said then done.. it still took me a couple of days to ‘get it right’.
all I knew is I wanted to make something from my heart
so I stared with covering some letters using a thin layer of antique linen distress paint and sprayed them with water… dried and repeated until I was happy with the ‘backgrounds’
I then took the same custom blend stamp set I used for my butterfly, more on that in a bit, and hit the edges of the letters with it.. by far my favorite blend yet
I also knew I wanted to use my flowers I made using tim’s tiny tattered florals thinlit. they are so tiny and cute and boy I need practice using them but that I think is going to make them all unique right.
I also wanted to use the butterfly from the limititation framelit set…it is my third set.. I have somehow managed to lose two already!! I stamped and die cut a butterfly from a tag, tissue and from packaging from one of my fade folders.. mind you the die wouldn’t but through the plastic..so I hand cut that one and heated it so it shaped around the canvas
and here you have it…. a special piece with that special someone in mind…
hope you take time to create a piece inspired by love.. they truly are the best pieces right! if you are looking to purchase any of the lovely products i have used you can find them at Inspiration Emporium.. they truly are one of the best on line places i have ever ordered from! if you are looking to create your own and wondering about my technique, check out A Compendium of Curiosities, Vol.3, the latest book by Tim Holtz

Sometimes it is so difficult to create, especially when the pressure is on, but making time to do something just for fun is what drove us to craft in the first place…love that you found the time, because this is just STUNNING!!! I LOVE every detail, and the butterfly is gorgeous!
thank you my friend!!!
I love when I create just for the fun of it and I can see from this project that you love it too because the result is fabulous. Love the sentiment added to your nature inspired theme. The flowers and that gorgeous big butterfly are terrific. Thanks for joining us at Frilly and Funkie.
Hugs!

Love your beautiful creation! The texture and embellishments you created are awesome. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. 🙂
Hi Diana. I loved reading your blog post and I have to say that I could tell that this piece was created from your heart. Those are the BEST kind of creations! And, in my opinion, creating just for the sake of creating is the most gratifying form of expression. Your burlap canvas is lovely. I really love your “loved” letters washed in Antique Linen…one of my favorite Tim paint colors. 🙂 Your Alpha Parts “Remember” that you’ve altered is also nicely done. I adore your tiny tattered floral flowers that adorn your piece. So pretty and delicate. The background is lovely. The stamped butterfly is gorgeous. It’s all just stunning. Thanks for sharing your heart with us at CC3C. <3 Candy
