hello everyone!
it has been such a crazy summer and here it is almost half way through fall… i feel like it has flown by so fast!! where did june-october go.. seriously.
today i wanted to drop in and share with you my front door make over! i have wanted to paint my door for some time now. i just couldn’t decide which colour.. orange, red or black.
Orange would be that ‘oh my gosh look at that door’ colour
Red would be the
‘oh that is a very daring yet incredible door’ colour
Black.. well black would be my ‘yes.. this is safe and goes with everything’ colour
all i knew for sure was that i was using the DecoArt Curb Appeal paint. . Curb Appeal paint write up on the page states: *Durable, fast-drying, fade-resistant acrylic paint that offers superior protection without requiring a sealer. Its versatile semi-gloss finish is both scuff- and water-resistant, making it perfect for outdoor use. This water-based formula offers excellent adhesion to metal, wood, plastic, and more.* sounds perfect to me.
i started off by pouring a bit into a small container and using my Dynasty brush applied my first coat
i applied the first coat to the door and seriously contemplated leaving it as is because i loved the peaking of the blue coming up… made it look somewhat ‘old’ to me
while the first coat was drying i applied some black paint to my shutters because after all as you will see in the before photos they really really REALLY needed some TLC
absolutely love the before and after!! what a huge difference right!
and so here you have it.. the before
the finished look of the make over courtesy of DecoArt Curb appeal
and seriously, this piece so went with everything about my make over right!!
thanks for stopping by! come back later this month to see a bit more of my front step make over!
until next time my friends

GIRL…what a transformation! LOVE that you did the shutters and mailbox too! I too love the red over that blue…it would have been hard to cover it up, but boy so wonderful now. LOVE that there are now outside paints!!!
