hello everyone!!
i am so excited today to be showing you one of the many projects i have on the go using Eileen’s newest releases, the Heart and Soul die and the Pansy die along with the re-released teacup die!!!
so to get started creating these i cut my teacups out of mat board and then sprayed them with gold and silver distress spray and then a couple spritzes of water to blend..
once that was dry i applied ground expresso distress ink the edges. this is the only distress ink i used in this project (I know crazy for me right!!) but look at the difference it makes!
to the ‘tea bags’ i drew on my symbols using dylusions black ink pen and once that was dry i spritzed with tea dye and antique linen and then set them aside
then i added a bit of distress crazing to them..
now it was back to the tea cups…. i switched them around and using Dylusions paint i painted the inside and the backs of the tea cups
i then added my chitchat words to my teacups and covered them all using crazing.
and for my saucers, well i had a different idea for them….so i added a hitch fastener to the bottoms of them. (more on that later!)
now it was time to get to my flowers!!
the Heart and Soul and the Pansy flower dies!! to start i dug out some older scrapbook paper that i had in my stash and just started cutting until i had a large collection of flowers. then taking Amy’s lead i used a tool and the sizzix scrapbook buddy and put some dimension to my flowers….. then i put them in my hand and scrunched them prior to layering them together
now i loved this pansy flower but it just wasn’t exactly what i wanted so i took them this one and the rest of my flowers apart and added vintage media to them all
i added water and distress glaze and some varnish and well just played until they were as i wanted them. i then took my twist tool and some wire, added a bead to it, twisted and made a stem
and here you have it!!! my four completed ‘teacups’ with a reminder daily when i walk by that in life i need to remember to:
play the moments
pause the memories
stop the pain
replay the happiness
i hope you have enjoyed this picture heavy posting and that you have been encouraged to create and to stop and appreciate little things in life…..they are after all really the big moments we truly cherish right!!
