hello everyone!
I am here to share with you a little project I made to share with some fellow employees. We have a group at work, Women’s Leadership Development, and we met usually once a month to discuss various topics, book club, have guest speakers, meditate, encourage.. you get the picture
well I think it is very important that as women we celebrate ourselves and share and encourage and uplift…. soooooo I thought, what could I do to help celebrate with them.. and here is what I came up with .. quote cards
it started out by playing with the new oxide colours.. oh be still my heart how I love them… I then decided the sheets were just too pretty to leave laying in a pile so off I went to visit my Sizzix corner and that is when it hit me… Eileen Hull’s recipe card die would be a cute size and fit perfectly in the caddy!
so I cut and coloured and decorated with some Dina Wakley stamps (Ranger) and Tim Holtz quote stamps (Stampers Anonymous), a bit of tissue tape (Ranger/Dina) and a bit more oxide ink
I cut one of the cards up to decorate the front of the caddy bag. the caddy is created using blackmat board and stenciled oxides… pretty cool effect don’t you think!
and there you have it.. a cute little project to share with my fellow team members. I went ahead and laminated the recipe quote cards so they would last hopefully lots of handling
my hope is that they draw a card and reflect a moment on the quote…..that it means something to them and perhaps when they are finished with it can leave it for someone else to find… or perhaps exchange with each other later on in the year.. so many possibilities…..
thanks for stopping by and happy International Women’s day to you!
