Mixed Media Monthly – it’s a wrap!

hello everyone!!

today’s post is all about using Eileen’s Wrap Journal die and what a perfect product to use for the announcement

Our sponsor this month is Sizzix Designer and crafter extraordinaire Eileen Hull who is also our guest designer!
and she is so generously providing one of her XL Sizzix dies, the popular Passport Book die, to our random draw winner!

and this months theme is!

Donna has announced that  this is the very last month our challenge is running, part of the reason for the theme of our challenge.. it makes me quite sad as i have so enjoyed being a part of this team and using products from all the sponsors. so it is with create sadness that i created this project…..

i simply started out by cutting the die out of mat board and then covered the front cover, the flap and the back cover using some scrapbook paper. then it was a free for all. i started adding a bit of embossing powder here and there and that set the tone.

i added some black ink to the spines and all the edges, a few embellishments and it was that easy peasy!

this is the inside of the front cover without the flap.

under that watch face are a couple of pieces of chipboard that i had glued together to create the clasp for my journal

and so here again is my little creation that i am hoping to fill with the trials and tribulations of life!

until next time my friends,

diana

The effects you have created with the embossing powders are incredible. Great journal cover. Thanks for sharing this and many other projects on MMM. Sad it is being wrapped up but then creativity allways is always developing. With all you creative and hardworking people I am sure there will be more to come. x Amanda

Diana, I think this may be my favourite wrapped journal EVER! I love the grungy industrial look of it, the time piece and embossing here and there add some wonderful texture – I wish I could just reach out and touch this…… So sad that MMM is being wrapped up, it was such an inspirational challenge – onwards and upwards though!
