hello everyone!
so today i wanted to share with you another quick little project i created using Eileen’s Wrapped Journal from Book Club 2 collection and paints ColorBox blends from Clearsnap!
the entire Inspiration Team are sharing journals all month long and you can see them all HERE.
i wanted to make an splashy type album so i started out by cutting from mat board my wrapped journal and laid some paint from the blenders down and added water and splats
and then not to waste the left over paint when i was done i dipped what would be the covers to my inserts into the paint so i’d have the same colour family throughout my journal
now this gave me a whole different idea and off i went with it !!
i coloured the entire mat board using ebony paint
and then dipped it into some paint i had laid down from the colorblends on my craft mat
Oh My Gosh i was love love loving this!
so just kept repeating the layering of colour on the entire outside
now for the inside of my journal i decided i wanted to cover it with some tapes in just black and white instead of painting
and then it was just the matter of adding a bit of tape to my inserts and a few stamps and then they were completed and inserted.
for the cover i stamped and painted a flower using the blends
and for my closure i added a button (i love doing this) on the end of the elastic cord and secured it behind the front centre piece which i had popped using the sizzix foam adhesive.
and so here is my finished project using Eileen’s Wrapped Journal and Clearsnap Color Blends
thanks for stopping by today and checking out my project for this months team. i hope you do take a moment to leave a comment as well as visit Eileen’s Blog to see all the wonderful projects created by the team!!
until next time my friends,
diana

Love and that flower where can I get it?
Love the technique you used for layering the color on the cover! Definitely going to give it a try.
