hello everyone!!
I am just coming back to you today to finishing sharing the pages created during my month long challenge!
for this first page I was going through my basket of goodies and came across a tag I had made in a previous Dina Wakley class and so as only a matter of creating a background to sit it on. and then of course a couple of stamps and a bit of doodling!
this next one turned out to be one of my favourite from the whole month. the back ground is created using layers of gloss spray, stencils and resist spray. I just then added some posca makers and doodled and found the perfect heart cut out of a piece of yupo paper with glorious layers of alcohol inks
I say the last one is one of my favourite but this one … this one that face!! now I can’t take credit for the face. it is out of the collection of papers from Dina Wakley’s second release of collage collectives. I just added it to a painty background and some stencilling and some stitching in her hair…. love that face!
and for this months final piece although it is kind of hard to tell in the picture it has sooo many layers of dylusions paints on it and I just didn’t know when to stop. I kind of wish I had not of added the final square stencling bit but I just knew it needed something …..
well that is it!! I actually did it!!! I have tried this before and usually always fade part way through..use and excuse as to why I just can’t get in there.
what totally helped me is preparing going into the month. I cut up lots of the 6×9 pieces of backgrounds; some from old pieces of forgotten backgrounds as well as created some new ones through out the month when I had some more time.
my mission had originally been to try out different techniques and using different mediums to see if I could find my own style…. I haven’t gotten there but am so very grateful for all the artist out there who constantly inspire me to keep going through their own creating.
until next time my friends,
Diana
