hello everyone!!!! oh my, the end of 2015 is so close!!
today as i write up this posting, the fireplace is on, the tree and mantle are lit up, the cats are all snuggled up in their spots, there is a beautiful light (though quickly accumulating) snowfall outside and we are spending one of our last days off this year just being…it is a beautiful live in the moments kind of day.
this will be my final tag posting for 2015 based off tim’s twelve tags for 2015 and i must say how i loved Tim’s December tag … every little thing about it… from the spraying on the burlap to the creation of the wreath with his punches
now i don’t have my candied apple red spray yet so instead substituted using festive berries followed by brushed pewter
i loved the festive look the shimmer the pewter gave the design on burlap.
i then needed to decide what i was going to put on my tag without having the three punches…the one i have looked like cedar (i looked it up and it is actually the juniper punch!) and i immediately thought of my mom, who made me think of my Nanny which lead me to remembering/thinking of all those who have passed and are so very missed…. so that lead me to Tim’s candlelight die
i cut it out using grungepaper but i just couldn’t get it coloured the way i wanted so out came my melt pot and beeswax in white..i’ve had this stuff forever it seems and never use it!
now how was i going to get the ‘cedar’ base on my candle to look somewhat natural….it was then i found a piece of twine on my desk and wrapped it around my candle base and the hot glued my greenery to it….
the wax of my candle is a little cracked in places but it was quickly fixed by adding a bit of heat with my heat tool.
and then the whole process of creating took over and here is my final tag for 2015!
thank you Tim for all your inspiration shared throughout 2015! it has been an awesome year of learning and relearning and digging through my stash of all things Tim goodness. i am not sure what is in store for 2016 but i am sure it is going to be a fantastic year.
i hope you all have taken the time to create lately and are enjoying all those forever moments that we have.
