what do reinkers, alcohol ink, and a step by step demo from Wendy Vecchi and i have in common… only the fact that she demo’s with those products and makes a beautiful masterpiece and i not so much!!!!!
so instead i created a piece of art on watercolour paper….WAIT!!! that is exactly what happened i bet.. i was to be using Ranger’s stamping paper not their watercolour paper!!!!
for a laugh you can watch here me trying to figure out how and what to do!!! failed alcohol card
so where is all this leading to you ask.. why to the background of this card i made for one of the ladies in the card swap i am in.
i did love the results, though not what i had originally been going for, and so wanted to created something with it. i attached it to a black card background, dug out my StencilGirl November stencil kit of the month, added a bit of embossing paste by Wendy Vecchi and here is what i came up with
for this second card i used a preprinted back ground paper, added a bit of Black Soot distress ink using my blending tool and another one of the stencils i received from the kit. for the main focus of my card i cut the sewing room die out of canvas and grungeboard, coloured it with my dylusions spray, added a bit of tulle and here is the second card completed.
these are both on their way to their new owner. i hope they like them!
