as as i mentioned a few days ago there was an online crop happening over at APOS! hosted by Michelle. here are a few of the layouts i did.
the first one i am showing you were were asked to do a layout using a photo that we have been putting off doing. i have done many of those but for me i took the opportunity to scrap a moment that i put off thinking about. i used color wash and stencils on the back ground, embossed a core cardstock for behind the photo and sanded it and then applied distress inks to it. for the tag i used my new fall distress inks and archival inks for stamping, i used a couple of butterfly masks on the tag after applying the ripe persimmon and before applying the seedless preserves. i then left the mask on to apply the stamped image on the bottom. i then cut out a stencil in order to apply a stamp imagine on the top butterfly, filled it full of embossing ink and then clear embossing powder before removing the stencil. my journalling is hidden below. i am entering this into the inspiration emporium orange, purple and black challengehere is a close up of the tag
the next layout i want to show you uses nothing but scraps. i was teased because i save all my scraps, no matter the size and see this is why. okay yes i know the scraps i was teased about are the small like a pencil type but still… they may come in handy someday right! i also used a tim holtz fragment to highlight the subjects (hahahaa subjects, my friends) and an ezee pzee leather leaf…. love it!
we were asked to do a nightly ritual layout. my ritual is pretty boring, wash face, brush teeth, pop in mouth guard in bed by 10:15! so i decided that i would do a layout telling the story of my son’s and my ritual as he was growing up
we were asked to chose a word from the listing of bingo words and scrap the one word that makes you smile. i chose friends.. they always make me smile. OH and don’t you love the EZEE PZEE apples!on this layout.
and the last one i will post from the weekend is the one were we were asked to use specific fall colours on a page. i chose to make mine on to water colour paper using color wash and perfect pearls mist along with a couple of stencils
well that is it for me for now. i really enjoyed scrapping some layouts this weekend. i have joined into the LOAD for the next two weeks so i need to start working on that. first up..create your own back ground.. i wonder what i shall do!!
and one final thing everyone… wouldn’t you love to own a copy of Tim’s Book.. if so hop on over to Marjie Kemper’s site to see how you can win it!
til next time…
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
