a creative aahh

do you remember when tim (as in Holtz of course)  said in this post the phrase “remember the now” it jumped out to me as i am sure it did many of thousands of his peeps. but it really jumped out at me.

i try to really focus on my ‘now’. on the important things in life not on the drama and trivial things that we are faced with each day.

this past week, this weekend, today, NOW is one of those ‘remember the now’ moments for me. we lost one of our sweetest uncles this last week… it was so very hard to say goodbye from afar. today is my son’s birthday and anyone who ‘knows’ me or follows me here know he is a miracle child for me in so many many ways. he literally saved my life 23 years ago… and to top it all off he was born on my sweet departed mom’s birthday.

so my project i am sharing with you tonight is a very special one to me. so on with the project

what does one get when they cross Wendy Vecchi Art Parts (both the leaves and the creative cover), Tim Holtz grungeblocks, distress paints and inks, some eclectic elements fabric and a really catching tim holtz phrase….

yes, preparing to sew yet again…and yes for someone who doesn’t sew i find myself ‘sew’ addicted to the new tim holtz eclectic elements fabric
i love love love grunge anything and these blocks are no exception!! a very very important message to remind me of my now i love how the leaves art parts, grungeboard and cork all work as one in my flower.
well that is it. that is my NOW. that is what i want to remember each and every single day that i am blessed to be on this earth.
