Eileen Hull’s heartfelt collection – journals

hello everyone!

have you been checking out the creations by the inspiration team over on Eileen’s blog. this month we are showcasing the heartfelt collection; Eileen’s newest release for 2017! today i am back to show you a couple of other journals

i started this one by die cutting the journal out of paper leather and then running it through my vagabond using the daisy wreath embossing folder and some sizzix ink sheets. it is the perfect quiet touch to the front of a treasured journal.

next i stitched using some really old thread the house pocket

then using a really strong glue i glued it to the front of the journal and the bits to the front of the house

then using a small stamp set i created some tables for my book. i also used some tissue take to tap the edges

once the tabs were completed and before they were put in place in inked the edges of the journal/title label with some black inknow that is it! pretty simple and fast and a great project to hold those must have recipes from your family and especially thoughtful to create to send to those who are leaving the nest!!

hope you have been creating

I love your journal Diana and what a great idea to use it for recipes – love your play on words too. You have inspired me, I have lots of old family recipes that would go nicely in one of these! Anne x
