okay so it was my turn to do a highlight for the month over at APOS!. i of course wanted to do something inky and messy so i had thought about doing some tags for you all but then i got carried away doing the first one using alcohol inks and i thought hey…. why don’t i do that so i did!!
so with these five little bottles and a blending tool with felt
i did this by simply dropping drops onto my clay based paper and using a air container and blowing the drops to achieve this affect
then i did this and didn’t blow the drops but added a bit of the metallic silver and turned the card when still wet to let it run
oh and then i did this by placing the drops onto the felt in a specific order and dragging across the page one way then the other
and then finally this by placing random drops on my felt with a bit of blending solution.
i had so much fun using the alcohol inks.. i am thinking i need a lot more colours and some more of those clay papers. remember there is so much one can do with these little pieces… attach to your layout or to a tag with a bit of distress ink on the tag ( ) and you can come up with a lot of embellies for your pages
so what have i done with mine after doing all of those techniques. simply this for now.. i am positive i will use these for a layout or a card in the near future
i hope you all have enjoyed the highlight for this month. remember getting inky now is so easy.. no need to fear the clean up. just pick up one of those wonderful Ranger scrubbies and you will be all set!

These are beautiful backgrounds. I love the techniques and am surprised by the plaid, it looks so hard to do. I love the finished products too!
