TTT – November 2016

hello everyone!!

i am here today to  quickly share with you all my version of this months Tim’s Twelve Tags – Remix 2016 (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2016-november/). for all the step outs and the hows to’s drop on over to his site and following along!! you have one day left to post your take!!

for me this month was a reminder of how much i love to just lay a  sheet of remnant rubs (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Idea-ology-GILDED-HOLIDAYS-Remnant-Rubs-TH93250--TH93250-) on a tag and let be what happens after a quick rub..the randomness of the whole thing is what makes a wonderful background for the tag or art journal page and i love that

so here is my take:

november-tagi chose to use the white remnant rubs as i am in full Christmas mode in the studio preparing for an upcoming class and with the forecast of some snow i thought i would do the whole winter theme… i used the snowflake from the blueprint christmas (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Cling-Rubber-Stamps-CHRISTMAS-BLUEPRINT-CMS135-46738?currency=USD) stamp set along with an idea-ology piece and the back ground the snowflake from the layered snowflake (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Sizzix-Bigz-Die-and-Texture-Fades-LAYERED-SNOWFLAKE-660040-660040TH) die

november-tag-believe i loved using the metal sheets as the background for my believe…shiny things make me happy!!november-tag-snowflakehope you all enjoyed creating your latest piece and that you have uploaded your projects for all to enjoy!

see you next month with some more pieces from me

create cards with sizzix!

hello everyone!!

i am back this week to show you quickly one more card i created this month for the Eileen Hull (http://www NULL.eileenhull NULL.com/)Inspiration team’s ‘create cards with Sizzix’ card challenge..

you see TODAY is Eileen Hull’s birthday so i wanted to create a card especially for her!
happy-birthdayi used her eyelet lace (http://www NULL.sizzix NULL.com/catalogsearch/result/index/?dir=desc&order=display_start_date&q=eileen+hull)embossing folder and her Pansy (http://www NULL.sizzix NULL.com/661109/sizzix-bigz-die-flower-pansy)die  along with a couple of spring leaves (http://www NULL.sizzix NULL.com/661111/sizzix-bigz-die-leaves-spring)to create this birthday wish for her!!!

when creating the card I simply cut out two pansy flowers, inked them using my favourite distress ink in ground expresso (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/RESERVE-Tim-Holtz-Distress-Mini-Ink-Pad-GROUND-ESPRESSO-Ranger-TDP47353-TDP47353RI)and layered them using a jingle brad (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Idea-ology-JINGLE-BRADS-Fasteners-TH93331-TH93252). I then just die cut out the ‘handwritten birthday’ (https://www NULL.simonsaysstamp NULL.com/product/Tim-Holtz-Sizzix-HANDWRITTEN-CELEBRATE-Thinlits-Die-660215-660215TH?currency=USD) sentiment and adding happy and some twine and there you have it!!

hope you have followed along on this months inspiration challenge and checked out the wonderful creations by my fellow teamies!!!

TTT – September 2016

hello everyone!!

i am here today to  quickly share with you all my version of this months Tim’s Twelve Tags – Remix 2016 (http://timholtz NULL.com/12-tags-of-2016-september/). for all the step outs and the hows to’s drop on over to his site and following along!!

I have to say I fell in love with this technique during the CC103 this summer and I had so much fun playing and was totally tempted to use one of the pieces I created then but nope!! new month, new tag.

so here is what I came up with and felt I failed miserably

spooky-eyes

but wanted to keep going…. and here is what I ended up with after restamping with a bit of blue and red archival inks  and apply tim’s technique through the stencil

twelve-tag-spooky

and then I thought I would try it again and see what else I could do….

story

a-spooky-story

I have to admit I struggled with this one and even though I felt through the process I was missing something I am pleased with  how it turned out and  I did enjoy the process. that is my favourite thing about doing these monthly tags. it allows me to either practice what it is I love to do or challenges me to try something new. I hope you have all played along this month and have had the opportunity to play with something new

Eileen Hull sewing basket

hello everyone!

today i am here to show you a quick little project that i created using the Sizzix sewing basket designed by Eileen Hull and how easy it is to turn it into a treat holder

sewing-basket-1

so after cutting out all the pieces required i put it together using some tissue tape and brads. then i covered it using some halloween papers
