CC2Challenge #1

have you started????  are you playing along???  with what and with whom you ask?

well i am talking about Linda over at Studio L3 and her challenges from the book   A Compendium of Curiosities II by who else but tim of course and you get your tag/name entered into a draw for a $25 GC from none other than Simon Says Stamp

this weeks challenge is taken from page 66 of the book – creating custom foam stamps!!!!

for my submission i started my tag with a few chose colours of distress stain inks, applied picket fence crackle paint onto my custom foam stamp, stamped it along the left hand side of my tag, splashed a bit of water on the tag, heat set it, and then some glue & seal was applied to my new alpha cards… love these!! once everything was dried i added a bit of tissue tape to the outer edges and then covered the whole thing with clear rock candy crackle paint.
then came the challenging part for me. i wanted to place a key into the key hole which i glossy accented to the bottom of my tag but in order to do this, and to me i was aiming to make a sort of ‘handle’ for this tag, i decided maybe i should cut a tag out of my fun foam to give my original tag a bit of depth.

so that is what i did. i cut out the foam tag, marked and made a hole for my key, glued the two together with glue and seal and then hot glued the key hole with hot glue and stuck the key in and tada!!!

i now have my first tag and cover made for my CC2 challenges going forward.

thanks for stopping by!!

til next time…

HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
