Okay so i don’t normally write about anything outside of scrapbooking/mixed media stuff but i just have to give kudo’s to a place i stayed this weekend.
i have celiac and if you have any sort of food allergy you know how hard it can be to feel free to just sit down and eat. well i have to say this weekend i did just that
we found the most wonderful place to spend a few nights while visiting Prince Edward Island this weekend. a quaint little B&B in Kensington, PE who just happen to have a FULL celiac menu!!
so for breakfast the first day i was treated to yogurt and berries, a beautiful biscuit with jam and the main breakfast was gluten free pancakes!! i can not say how delicious they were!!
We then spent the day exploring different antique shops and stopped into Summerside. Then it was back to the B&B for dinner.. OMGoodness.. i can not describe just how wonderful of a meal that Glenda and the staff served up. my starter was lobster stuffed mushrooms covered in cheese and the main meal was whipped potatoes, veggies and a beautiful scallop and pork tenderloin and dessert… the most delicious lemon pudding ever!!!
we then spent the evening in our most comfortable room and had the most wonderful night sleep. This morning we were served yogurt with GRANOLA!!, eggs, hashbrowns and that wonderful biscuit!
if ever you are on the island and you want a wonderful place to stay and eat please consider staying at The Home Place Inn. Glenda and her staff, Jackie and Suzanne, are the most welcoming staff you will ever come across! and the food.. well lets just say i am ready to move in!!
