Okay first and foremost I have to say WOW I have been really slack lately with posting haven’t I. As soon as this weekend is over i should (fingers crossed) have a chance to catch you all up on what I have been up to!)
As you all must know by now this is week one of Grunge Mondays!! (see the blinkie down a bit to your right!) I have been waiting for weeks for this week to get here!
After having discovered Studio L3 through Linda’s comment over at the Ranger Blog i started following along with everyone and their excitement over Tim. Remember i am the one who admittedly stalked him last year! So as i was reading through I saw the posting letting us know what was ahead. I was thrilled to hear about Grunge Monday!
So with all that said this week’s challenge is to create a tag inspired by Tim’s 12 Tags of Christmas Day 10 – 2008
I stared with one of Tim’s tags and laid the dot mask on the tag and sprayed it with Perfect Pearls kiwi and blue smoke. I dried it with my heat tool and then started inking. I used my fav’s Crushed Olive, Rusty Hinge and Broken China. On the edges of the tag i used Brushed Corduroy cause really it isn’t grungy and dirty to me unless there is a shade of brown. I then took the large stamp from the Papillon set, sprayed with water and stamped onto the tag (kind of hard to see). my tiny attacher was used to attach the ribbon down the side of the tag.
so then it was time to decide what to put on, i considered the butterfly or the bird cage (though someone has told me i use them too much but really is that possible!) so i chose my newest Bigz Die Heart Wings and inked it up with my new Distress Stains. Have i told you how much I absolutely love them and can’t wait to get more!! I used broken china, wild honey and fired brick along with the sliver acrylic dabber. The crown was completed once i attached my bling with my new imagninsce irock tool!
Now it was time to finish the tag and what better way then with a stamp from Wendi Vecchi’s Just Word Art stamp set (also a brand new purchase for me.. love love love her stuff.
Now it is time for the reveal.
it is so much shinier in person. I used Perfect Pearls heirloom gold on the completed tag to finish it. so til next time
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
