i am blessed

so…. you remember a couple of weeks ago when here in this post i was so very envious of a friend of mine who happened upon the eclectic fabric by tim holtz on her trip in the US and while on vacation, Susan was creating up a storm… well in her creating SHE MADE ME ONE TOO!!!!

yesterday she gave me the bag just before art class that she made from her tim holtz frenzy… she had made i believe 5 or 6 bags, all different patterns and shapes as well as a lovely quilt for her bestie!!

so here is the bag she gifted me and what i have done with it

Susan left a whole in the bottom inside in order for me to decide whether i wanted to make it a ‘hard’ bottom or not and as well said i would need to make it my own (like add a flower or such)

i still get goosebumps thinking of it. i am beyond excited that i have one of these creations!!!

so when i got home i was thinking and on my desk i happen to have kept a useless piece of wood that was the cover to my ‘collect it all’ box and guess what!! YUPPERS the exact size i needed!!!

now it needs little feet because i simply can not let it sit on the floor anywhere so what have i been into decorating with lately… YUPPERS… wine corks!!!

now the bag was a bit floppy with its feet and bottom solid so while the hole is still open in the bottom i decided i would try to stiffen up the sides of the bag with thick chipboard and what do you know!!!! it now stands up!!!!!!

i am blessed… i have said it before and will say it again many many times. there are such good people out there….pure and thoughtful and generous and i am so lucky to know this particular one. she has made me a very very happy girl.
