i received in the mail my first of many shipments i am sure from the Scarlet Lime mixed media shop and i couldn’t wait to play with it.
The first thing i did was cover the top part of my canvas in a thin layer of broken china crackle paint.i ran my distress tool through it create a cool pattern. and well i will call it a distress tool cause i am not sure what it is really called. i found it down stairs in amongst my painting/crackfilling supplies! On the bottom of the canvas i took out one of my new Prima stencils and gesso to create the cool pattern. then it was time to set it aside to dry.
once dry it was time to take out my all time ever favorite sprays.. COLOR WASH Now i have no rhyme or reason to how i spray. i spray and chose another colour, perhaps a stencil. next out came the paper towel tube with a bit of black paint and my black Faber Castell PITT marker, made a few flowers and some markings and ta da!! my background was finished. But wait, do you see that butterfly it is made out of modelling paste!!! love it!!
then it was on to my She. I had seen in the She gallery some beautiful ladies and one i really liked had on short shorts. well my She is too big to be wearing short shorts but she can wear cute girlie shorts right!
I only use left over scraps of paper on my girls, and a tonne of it i do have!!! Then it was adding on some hair and a few rub ons and then wait a minute.. i forgot i had also gotten in my box a NeoColor Wax pastel in flesh for, well, fleshy parts!!!
Then it was only a matter of adding a few words and there She is. thanks for stopping by!!
til next time…
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
