Tim’s 12 tags of Christmas – Day 3

okay.. so i have a few reinkers…. 3 to be exact, green, red and brown.. so i thought i would try using what i had. you know what.. this technique was WAY harder than i thought it would be.
here is my first attempt:

umm.. back to reading Tim’s site to see what i did wrong.. umm.. first thing.. i inked the wrong side!!

okay so i was confident this time i could do it. i really wanted other colors and thought okay i will try color wash to see how it work… i stamped and stamped and reinked and stamped.. totally wasn’t happy but here is what i ended up with

well this is totally not acceptable to me. it so is not my ‘style’ (not that i really know if i have a particular style but i just knew i wasn’t happy with it so off i went again.

this time i though i would try to keep it simpler. i dug out a sheet of craft paper, ran it through my tag maker, added a stamp to the cut and dry foam, inked with minimal ink and this is what the stamp pad looks like

and this is what my completed tag looks like. this one i am so very happy with.

okay, now off to the BTS (Behind the Scene with Mario Rossi) and see what the ‘happy place’ is up to tonight!
