so remember when i said my word was Less.. well here is a funny story regarding my word
so one of my friends posted a one word pendant that she was buying from here and i had already found this other wonderful artist here that i was contemplating ordering from.
problem was that i didn’t want to spend the money on buying something which was to symbolize to me to accumulate less; use what i have more (just one aspect of my word for the year but still.)
so my little brain worked and worked and finally i came up with a plan.. i could make my own!!!
off i went shopping (I know!!)
so i get to the store and check out the jewellery section thinking okay there must be something here i could use. I was actually looking for a letter stamper kind of thing and thought about Melody Ross chipart tools but then they only do chip art and i really wanted to do something metalish…..
so in the jewllery section i find the perfect thing.. a set of letters meant to make jewellery and oh there were the blanks and the chains and the hand tools and oh i was in heaven!!!!!…
so many pretty things to buy to bring home to play with. then my mind went to oh i wonder where i will store this and oh i need to buy more of these in order to make them for friends.. and i wonder if i could make this into a class to share my new tools and and …..AND WAIT A MINUTE…. on went those brakes!!!!!
wasn’t my world less.. wasn’t i suppose to be concentrating on spending less and sharing less and stressing less and … hmmmm
so i left the store with out purchasing anything!!
i have perfectly fine things at home to make a symbol for me to wear or carrry to remind me of ‘less’.
i am thinking, i have this slight (okay not slight but shhhh) addiction to the smell of grungepaper..
perhaps i will make my symbol out of that..
or maybe from a fragment charm
or a pocket watch or …
see what i mean..
i will let you know how i make out.. that might be tonights project..
