hello everyone!
today I am sharing with you a few cards I made using some The Crafter’s Workshop stencils and a few different mediums
Please note that although i have received some of the products used to create this project from some great companies, the opinions I share are solely my own.
remember these backgrounds?i wasn’t quite sure what i wanted to use them for as they weren’t turning out how i liked them. well i am not one to throw things away so that is when it hit me, dig out your embossing paste!!
so i chose a piece of the alcohol ink covered glossy paper and as it was dry i decided to use the lacy tile stencil and and some paste
i applied a nice even layer through the stencil
added a stamped sentiment and i ended up with this!
and then i just kept going and creating
next i sprayed through a stencil on a background using some distress resist spray and i was sure to drop my stencil in water right away in order to remove the resist from it.
then i covered the whole thing with some black paint
and then once it was dry(ish) I wiped it away and here is the magic
just look at that stenciled image!!! i loved how it turned out.. so so cool. all i had to do then is make it into a card!
and then i repeated both of these techniques and made a couple other cards.
i have started enjoying making cards and when using stencils as backgrounds it makes it so easy and fast!!
