a lucky coaster!

hello everyone! i am here this month to show you a quick and easy project i created for Emerald Creek Dares for this weeks challenge –  Lucky Clover

i started by tracing my coaster onto a  piece of Emerald Creeks 100lb cardstock. then using various greens from the Distress paint line i dripped them onto the paper prior to  spraying  them with water. i then used an air can to spread the paint across the page. (totally forgot to take a picture of it but as you can see it spread it out nicely!)  i set this aside to dry

next i took one of my mover and shapers and cut out four hearts which i covered with glossy accents. once covered i dipped into the jar of distress glitter.

now it was time to decide what i wanted on my coaster. so out came a retired but so loved Emerald Creek stamp,archival ink and clear embossing powder i stamped and embossed my background.

i then heat set it to make sure it was completely drive

next i added some chit chat stickers and because this is the second in a set i also applied a generous coat of Ice Resin to protect my coaster

so now that it was completely dry i noticed that when cutting down the paper it doesn’t quite go to the edges so out came my burnt copper leaves embossing powder and i applied to the edges in places around my coaster

and here you have it.. a ‘lucky’ surface to hold that cup of liquid!!

now i am a huge believer in ‘creating your own luck’ in life. the more positive you are, the more you send your intentions out in the universe, the ‘luckier’ of a life you shall leave. this coaster will be my reminder of that for those days i forget!
