Eileen Hull / DCWV – Holiday project

hello everyone!!! hasn’t this been a fun and festive month with the Eileen Hull Inspiration team creating pieces using the DCWV paper line!! I have seen so many projects that I want to recreate.. so many talented folks. I hope you have checked it out!!
for my project this month decided to create a piece to display on my desk at work, that is if it makes it into the office and off my window sill in my studio!
so i started out by cutting out 5 ATB’s using matboard. I love using this stuff as it makes for a solid base when creating a 3D project.
next I started cutting out  using the DCWV Cranberry Christmas paper pack squares in various sizes. I absolutely love the richness of this paper line and the foil bits oh my!!
counting-up-the-squaresthen the planning began and the first of three romance flowers were created. I glued the squares together for each pedal on all three sets in order to be sure there was colour from all sides!
romance-flower eilieens-romance-flowerand it was time to figure out what I wanted these blocks to say and in what order… so a bit of planning as I was laying them out….

and now I think I have it… except for a few changes…

oh and I was just thinking the “LOVE” side could be displayed during February for Valentines day…yes.. these blocks will get lots of use in my home
hope you have been following along and checking out all the projects on this fun blog hop we have had with DCWV this month!
oh and that you are creating!!

Wonderful! I love that you can rearrange them to create a new display or word. Very cool. Thanks for sharing your creative process with us. Laying them out like that is such a great idea. Well done.
