Art Journalling – the real deal

it’s been a crazy beautiful week here. my ‘real’ job has kept me quite busy and when i get home at night i want to sleep in the sun and enjoy the moments before the cooking of dinner and clean up. so i have been working slowly on a page… and i mean slowly… it hasn’t taken me this long to do a page ever before. i could just keep going.

the page originally started with me playing with my Wendy Vecchi embossing paste.. i so LOVE this product.. like truly love it!!  i had done one side of my dyan journal and really had no idea what i was going to do with it after that and then it hit me.. GRAFFITI!!! and then that is where it all began… the chose of words, attempting at drawing, what to do and with what..

okay enough writing and time for pictures right!!

so this is what started the two pages

so you can see how much texture and depth can be obtained with this paste. wonderful i say.. simply truly wonderful

and then the whole graffiti idea hit and i started creating. i started out trying the aquamarkers that a sweet soul had given me.. thank you susan!

and i loved how my words were starting to pop..

IMG_6060love them!!!!

then it was time to do a little bit more doodling

i am entering this into the ‘inspired by’ challenge over at Simon Says. i am inspired by so many products and so many people such as  Linda Ledbetter,  Marjie Kemper and Linda Cain to name but a few of the uber talented folks out that that share with us each day. but my ‘inspired by’ product i believe shines through in most everything i do.  Ranger products truly rock and all i need to do is walk into my craft room and start playing.
