right here…. right now!!!
Our term for the APOS! inspiration team has quickly come to a close and we thought it would be fun to do a little blog hop to wrap up. So between the 6 of us we came up with the theme
BLING IT ON!
Each of inspiration team members were tasked with creating a canvas using buttons, ribbon/lace and bling. I sure hope you take a moment and check them out.
The bog hop starts here with me and will continue on through the following order:
Please feel free to hop on through and leave a comment. Comment on each site and your name will be put into a draw for a BLING IT ON prize
So for my project I chose to do a 12 x 12 canvas and wanted to keep it simple and somewhat clean. i know.. a shocker from me!!
I chose a piece of Glitz Design paper, gave it a tear, I stamped the large swirl from the inque boutique stamp set with Distress embossing ink, used some white ZING embossing powder. i then inked the outside edges of my canvas with saffron archival ink, applied mod podged to the paper and to the canvas and then set it aside to dry.
For my flower and the strip of corrugated cardboard I used an old box that I had put in the recycle bin. i stamped the white flower using cobalt archival ink on the script stamp. i applied a bit of ink to the corrugated flower which i had cut out using the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die.
I added some of the wild honey distress stain, some saffron and pale ochre archival ink to the Pink Paislee Scallop Ribbon, wrapped a bit of hemp around the canvas to hold it into place and then glossy accented the lace covered Prima buttons on to the ribbon. Then it was the layering of the leaves, which i had coloured using meadow color wash, and then the flowers which are all pop dotted in order to give it height. the last step for the flower was the cute little ezee pzee piece which i covered with adirondack dimensional pearls.
Now it was a matter of attaching a picture.
I chose this canvas to honour my Nanny. When I grow up I want to be just like her. for finishing touches i added the ezee pzee swirl as well as some crafto pearls in various spots on the canvas.
so here is my completed canvas. Thanks for stopping by.

Til next time…
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
